I'll admit this is my first time seeing this fight and what an amazing fight. Highest level of wrestling in the ufc. I can't wait to see these two meet again cause this will be a PPV banger.
There is no body more promising in the top 10 right now than Arman , sure give Gathje the shot, he earned it with Poirier KO, but Oliveira i think goes the same way, if not worse. Arman is the guy, if he doesnt beat Makhachev no one will do it at 155 untill age beats him.

You see-this is what happens when you face a tough stylistic matchup, especially the guy who has almost identical style as you. This is what Khabib would have also had to go through, had he faced Arman.
Except they weren't 100% equal hence the 4 to 1 difference in takedowns and the control on the ground that islam had for the majority of those grappling exchanges and the trips, this was close but not as close as the commentators are saying it s.

And RDA did that to Pettis after his loss to Khabib. RDA is a legend, but he was a perfect matchup for Khabib, he lost to any wrestler of his caliber (Khabib, Usman, Colby). Arman is totally different fighter, much tougher matchup than RDA.

13:28 is what won Islam the fight and the first round take down but in combat shots arman had it landing more. Legs kicks was equal arman threw more and landed more but Islam had a good leg kick to the head in round 3 but didn’t phase arman at all. This rematch is gonna be crazy
